The situation at the occupied ZNPP/ZNPP

Since the beginning of March, the city of Energodar in the Zaporozhye region has been under occupation. Like the local nuclear power plant. In this regard, there is a serious danger.

In addition to the Russian invaders, employees of the Russian “Rosatom” have been on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya NPP for a long time. First, it's illegal. In addition, the purpose of their presence there is unknown.

The situation at the occupied ZNPP

Unfortunately, the workers of the occupied ZNPP, as well as their families, are under constant psychological pressure. The main reason is the presence on the territory of the nuclear power plant and in the city of Energodar military personnel from the enemy army, as well as their equipment. There are known cases of detention of ZNPP workers by Russian occupiers for interrogations.

In this regard, there is a growing threat that Zaporizhzhya NPP workers may make a mistake due to psychological and physical pressure directly on them, as well as on their relatives. Therefore, this can lead to emergencies and accidents.

Important! Today, two power units operate at capacity at ZNPP, one power unit is under repair, and all the rest are in reserve. Regulators and inspectors cannot access the station.

To date, there is no verified data on the state of nuclear installations at ZNPP. The SNRCU maintains contact with the plant management. According to the information from the plant managers:

  • ZNPP employees continue to monitor the state of power units and guarantee their safe operation in accordance with the requirements of operation;
  • Only ZNPP employees are responsible for these processes at the NPP, they continue to rotate personnel on a permanent basis;
  • no changes in the radiation state were recorded at the ZNPP site, as well as in the observation zone and the sanitary protection zone.
