Drones Attack Ryazan Airfield Where Tu Bombers Are Based: What Is Known

On the night and morning of July 27, residents of the Russian Ryazan witnessed an attack by attack drones on the Dyagilevo military airfield and an oil refinery. It was also noisy late in the evening on July 26 in the Bryansk region.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that at around seven in the morning local time, their air defense allegedly shot down seven Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Ryazan region.

Local authorities claim that there were no casualties during the attack. There are no reports of possible damage to objects.

Later, the Astra Telegram channel reported that drone debris fell near the M5 Mall shopping center in Ryazan, and the windows of a parked car were knocked out.

Dyagilyovo Air Base in Ryazan

It is known that the 43rd Center for Combat Employment and Retraining of Flight Crew is stationed at the Dyagilevo airfield in Ryazan: there are Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL bombers and an Il-78 tanker. The 360th Aircraft Repair Plant is located near the airfield.

Earlier, Telegram channels reported that three Tu-22 bombers landed at Dyagilevo after their last flight on July 25.

Drone attack on Bryansk Oblast

According to the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz, late in the evening of July 26, Russian air defense allegedly repelled the drone attack, shooting down all 12 UAVs that were attacking different areas of the region.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the downing of 21 attack drones.
