The speaker of the joint press center of the Taurida Defense Forces explained that by destroying logistic supplies, Ukraine makes it impossible for enemy rear units to deliver fuel and ammunition to the front line.

It should be noted that “cotton” in Mariupol began to be distributed on the evening of February 21. Subsequently, the explosions were repeated at night and on the morning of 22 February. After them, the Mariupol City Council reported about the hit in the Russian ammunition depot near the seaport.

- Since February 21, explosions in Mariupol have been heard regularly. Literally on February 23, Petr Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor, reported that at least 18 explosions were heard in the city a day later.
- Then the adviser confirmed the “clap” on the territory of the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, where a large number of enemy manpower, equipment, and ammunition were concentrated. In addition, we managed to get to the territory of the 18th berth of the port, where there was a shipment of incomprehensible containers, definitely of military origin.
- On February 25, Ukrainian partisans confirmed that they destroyed an enemy ammunition depot in Mariupol, as well as: 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 1 tank, 1 self-propelled artillery mount, 50 invaders in the state of 200s or heavy 300s.
- Military expert Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko said that the explosions in Mariupol could be caused by the emergence of new weapons in Ukraine. British intelligence said there were 14 explosions in the city since 21 February. According to them, Russia is likely to be concerned that incomprehensible explosions are taking place in a zone that it previously assessed as beyond the normal Ukrainian strike capabilities.
