At the Khalino military airfield in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation the day before, September 24, a Ukrainian drone exploded, as a result of which there were dead and wounded among the command of the occupiers’ aviation regiment, the League reports, citing a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The 14th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, which is armed with Su-30SM aircraft, is based here. These expensive fourth-generation Russian fighters were shot down quite a few over Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
According to the intelligence interlocutor, among the killed and wounded: the commander of this air regiment, one of his deputies, a group of aviator officers, a counterintelligence officer from the FSB and airfield workers.

He noted that the drone landed on the runway after it was intercepted by electronic warfare equipment near the airfield, and when the leadership of the air regiment and FSB officers came to inspect the UAV, &# 8220;ammunition detonated”.
