Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine on the night of July 31 with more than just Shahed. Drones of an unspecified type were recorded.

He noted that among the wreckage of the drones with which the Russians attacked Ukraine last night, not only Shaheds, but also other types of drones may be found. However, Ignat noted that this does not change anything, because all drones must be destroyed by all available means.
Advisor to the head of the Presidential Office Vladislav Vlasyuk wrote that the occupiers today “limitedly” used a new type of Gerber drone against Ukraine.
— It has not yet been disassembled into molecules, but it looks like an economy version of the Shahed. Plywood instead of composite, a minimum of components, the same cheap made in China, — he wrote.
Massive drone attack on July 31: results of air defense operations
Russia attacked at night with a guided Kh-59 air missile from the temporarily occupied Kherson region and 89 Shahed-type attack UAVs from the areas of Yeysk, Seshch, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The Kiev region and the capital were the main targets.
Air defense forces managed to shoot down all 89 Shaheds detected by radar units. An X-59 missile, which the enemy used to attack the Nikolaev region, was also shot down.
The Ukrainian Air Force called this attack by the Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs one of the most massive.
— The enemy used the same number of Shaheds on New Year's Eve, January 1, 2024. Just like then, today the Ukrainian air defense stood firm and repelled a massive attack by enemy drones, — the PS says.
The drone attack was repelled by mobile fire teams, tactical aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare of the Air Force.

Zelensky's reaction to the Shaheed attack on July 31
President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking about the massive drone attack on the night and morning of July 31, emphasized the successful work of the air defense, which managed to destroy all 89 Shaheeds launched by the Russian Federation.
— And this is an important result. Ukrainians can fully protect their skies from Russian strikes when they have sufficient support for this, — he emphasized.
At the same time, he noted that the same effectiveness of protection is needed from Russian missiles and aircraft.
According to him, this can be ensured, but decisions are needed from partners regarding the number and range of air defense systems.
— And the Ukrainians will do everything correctly and accurately, — he added.
