At the same time, a drone attack occurred in the Bryansk region of Russia. They have not been able to extinguish a large-scale fire at an oil depot in Klintsy for two days now.
At the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, the Russians have again placed mines around the perimeter, in the buffer zone between the internal and external fences of the facility. The IAEA stated that this does not meet safety standards.

Night drone attack in Ukraine
On the night of January 20, Russian occupiers tried to attack Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russian troops used seven drones.
Mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed four Russian drones, and the remaining three drones did not reach their targets, the Air Force explained.

The Bryansk region of Russia was attacked by a drone. It was allegedly shot down over the Klintsy district, where for the second day emergency services were unable to extinguish a large-scale fire at an oil depot in Klintsy.
Mining of the Zaporozhye NPP
Along the perimeter of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Russian occupiers installed mines, which were previously discovered and removed by IAEA experts in November 2023.

However, mines reappeared at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in the buffer zone between the internal and external fences of the facility, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reported. He explained that the presence of mines does not meet safety standards.
Unblocking checkpoints with Romania
On the border with Ukraine on the Romanian side, all checkpoints have been unblocked for truck traffic. The State Border Service notes that transport can cross the border not only at the Vicovo de Sus checkpoint — Krasnoilsk, Porubnoye — Siret, but also Dyakovo — Halmeu.
