Ukrainian forward of Spanish Girona Artem Dovbik became the top scorer of the Spanish championship of the 2023/24 season.

The Ukrainian was one goal ahead of the Norwegian footballer Villarreal Alexander Serloth, who was injured in the last round of La Liga. He also scored five more goals than Robert Lewandowski from Barcelona and Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid.
Note that Artem repeated the achievement of Ukrainian football legend Andrei Shevchenko in terms of the number of goals scored by Ukrainians during one season in the top five European leagues in the 21st century.
Thus Dovbik will receive the Pichichi trophy, which is presented by the Spanish newspaper Marca. In past years, winners of this award were: Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and others.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, Girona became the bronze medalist of La Liga. Real Madrid won the championship in Spain.
