Doomsday plane spotted over Moscow: what does it mean/Dialog

< strong _ngcontent-sc128="">Now the Russian media are hyping the participation of Il-80 Doomsday aircraft as part of the May 9 victory madness on Red Square.

While the Russian media are reporting, what kind of aircraft is it, which has no analogues in the world, do our Ukrainians wonder what it means – a hint of a nuclear strike?

Interesting nuances

Meanwhile, I would like to recall a few interesting details from the history of IL-80. Moreover, details in the literal and figurative sense.

The IL-80 underwent modernization in 2015, as part of which new electronic equipment was installed, in the elementary base of which there are a lot of Western parts. But this is a trifle. What is it that the IL-80, which has no analogues in the world, is crammed with an electronic elementary base produced by NATO countries.

More interesting is the fact that in December 2020 a scandal erupted regarding equipment was stolen – 39 electronic units of communication equipment!

Questions about the Il-80

In this regard, many questions arose about the fate of the entire small fleet of Il-80, the answers to which, of course, were never given.

Nevertheless, another question becomes relevant, namely: on what “doomsday” plane will Putin decide on a nuclear attack on Washington, on the one where 80% of the electronic equipment is Western-made, or the one where this very electronic equipment was stolen?
