The intelligence said that on September 8, planned exercises began in Belarus to return the territory seized by “enemy forces” and ensure the security of its borders. They will last until September 14.
The exercises will be held near Brest, near the Polish border, around the Belarusian capital Minsk and in the north-eastern region of Vitebsk.
Although Russian use of Belarusian territory played a major role in Russia's unsuccessful offensive against Kyiv at the start of the invasion, Belarusian forces have limited offensive capabilities and there is little chance of them tipping their forces into Ukraine. – they say in intelligence.
