American leader Joe Biden discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu possible solutions to create a Palestinian state.
The White House statement noted that Biden laid out “his own vision of more lasting peace and security for Israel” and “a two-state solution with guaranteed Israeli security”.
The conversation also touched on Israeli strikes on Gaza. Biden and Netanyahu discussed efforts to free hostages held by Hamas and Israel's move to more “targeted” operations in the Gaza Strip, which allow more humanitarian aid to be delivered.

This was the first conversation between the leaders of the United States and Israel in almost a month.
According to the American television channel CNN, Netanyahu told Biden during a conversation that Israel does not exclude the possibility of creating a Palestinian state “in any form”. The channel's source described the conversation as “serious” and “detailed”.
Recall that earlier the Israeli prime minister stated that he opposes Palestinian statehood, the emergence of which, according to him, “does not guarantee the security of Israel”.
Thus, there are disagreements between the United States and Israel regarding the possible path to Palestinian statehood after the end of hostilities in Gaza.
