In the cities destroyed by the Russians, there can be no talk of a heating season/Channel 24 collage
The enemy not only captures new territories, but also destroys everything in its path. Therefore, regions where active hostilities are taking place, as well as those occupied after stubborn battles, may be left without heat.

Therefore, it is not in vain that the Ukrainian authorities announced a mandatory evacuation from Donbass. They took a reciprocal step in order not to allow citizens to die in their own homes from severe frosts during the heating season, which may never start. there will be no season
The mayor of the city, Vadim Lyakh, said so. He noted to the residents of Slavyansk that a very difficult time awaits them in winter.
Management companies continue to prepare multi-storey housing stock for winter. Drain water, conserve the heating system. Some have already done 100%. The rest are still in progress. The bottom line is that there will be no heating season. And this also requires careful preparation,” he stressed.
Recall that due to active shelling from Russia, there is no water and gas supply in Slavyansk. As for electricity, it is supplied intermittently.
The situation in the Luhansk region is catastrophic
The head of the OVA Serhiy Gaidai stressed that neither physically nor technically supply blue fuel to large cities area is impossible. And although the occupiers promise a heating season in those cities that they themselves destroyed, this will not work. All this is because the enemy destroyed the infrastructure with his own hands, which cannot be restored.
According to the head of the OVA, in order to resume its work, it will be necessary to work continuously for six months. Moreover, it also requires considerable capital investments.
There will be no heating season in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The main reason is that the high-pressure gas pipeline was interrupted, and the impossibility of supplying gas to heat utilities in order to carry out the heating season, – emphasized Oleg Popenko, an expert on housing and communal services.
He also stressed that repairs are out of the question. And all because the gas pipeline is located where active hostilities are now taking place.
There may also be no heat in the frontline zones
The situation is no less difficult for residents of those regions that are located near the front line, or through which it passes. We are talking about Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zaporozhye regions. It should be understood that the enemy there purposefully attacks critical infrastructure. And this means that it may simply not stay until winter.
The head of the Zaporizhzhya OVA Oleksandr Starukh noted during the telethon that now you need to take care of the insulation of your home. If you live in private houses, then you should have a sufficient amount of both firewood and fuel briquettes.
The hardest thing, he stressed, is to prepare the Gulyai-Pole area for the heating season. And all because the city was provided with heat from the families that are now under temporary occupation. In the same place, the enemy destroyed both the gas and energy networks, which creates additional problems.
The situation is not easier in Kharkov. Igor Terekhov said earlier that it is planned to lay 200 kilometers of heating networks. Note that last summer we managed to replace 100 kilometers. But this year it is not possible to do this due to constant shelling.
“There will be problems with the heating season in Kharkiv. I need to leave the city, and I will have a normal heating season. Russian troops will hit all the infrastructure, as they did in Chernigov, Akhtyrka, Kremenchug and other cities,” Popenko stressed.
The situation in Nikolaev remains critical. Note that the city is experiencing problems with drinking water, because the water intake is located far from the city. So supplying water for heating will also be difficult. There is a possibility that the enemy will also hit the heating infrastructure here, depriving residents of the opportunity to survive in warm winters.
Things are even worse in the occupied territories
It should be understood that the situation in the territories occupied by the enemy remains the most difficult. Thus, in Izyum of the Kharkiv region there is already the infrastructure of heating networks. As Oleg Sinegubov, head of the OVA, noted, the picture of the Volchensky and Kupyansky directions remains unclear.
Ivan Fedorov, mayor of Melitopol, once again celebrates the evacuation before the heating season. Now the second wave is underway, and the third will be launched on the eve of the start of the heating season.
“No gas, no qualified employees who can prepare the city,” he stressed.
Summarizing all of the above, it should be understood that this winter will indeed be difficult. So if you have the opportunity to get out of places that may be left without heat this winter, do it. The corresponding difficult, but so important decision can save your life.
