Donald Trump, despite the assassination attempt, plans to attend the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin next week.
The Voice of America reports this.
Trump will attend the Republican National Convention
— I truly love our country and all of you and look forward to addressing our Great Nation this week in Wisconsin, — Trump wrote in his note.
As journalists note, the Republican Party Convention is expected to approve Trump as the only candidate in the US presidential election.

GOP Convention to be heavily guarded
RNC Chairman Michael Whatley told Fox News that the RNC is working with 40 different law enforcement agencies to ensure security during the convention.
— There will be 50,000 delegates, alternates, and media at the event, and they will be safe. That's critical to us, — he said.
Milwaukee police said officers from dozens of states would be deployed to protect the convention.
However, in a joint security assessment issued by the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, Milwaukee police, and the Wisconsin Threat Analysis Center, law enforcement did not identify specific threats to the convention.
Trump campaign advisers Chris Lacivita and Susie Wiles sent a message to campaign staff saying the convention would go ahead, but security would be beefed up. In particular, this concerns the increase in armed guards and the constant presence of security personnel.
