“Demon” will not fly anywhere: Russian media report the death of the occupiers' pilot

Mi-24 pilot, fought against Ukraine: who is Evgeniy “Bes” and what is known about his execution in Voronezh

Russian media wrote about the shooting in Voronezh on December 9. A propaganda telegram channel dedicated to aviation constantly reported new details about the assassination attempt and the identity of the wounded.

According to these reports, Evgeny Bestuzhev was wounded in Voronezh- Ryumin, teacher at the Russian Air Force Academy, Mi-24 helicopter pilot. He allegedly fought against Ukraine, and his wife was killed in a Ukrainian missile attack on a bus. After her death, the pilot was “transferred to another job.” He was left with three children, whom he shielded with himself during the shooting in Voronezh. Then there were reports that “Demon” died after receiving seven bullets. He was supposed to be buried on December 11.

Local authorities were at first silent, then denied these reports. Subsequently, the author of the propaganda telegram channel himself refuted them, saying that he was misled, and this whole story was invented. It is noteworthy that he wrote this after a meeting with the Voronezh authorities, namely representatives of the regional administration and representatives of law enforcement agencies. All messages that he wrote about “Besa” earlier were deleted from the channel.

On December 10, the local authorities of Voronezh wrote again that the Air Force Academy had not confirmed the existence of such a teacher, but in cemeteries the name Bestuzhev-Ryumin is not on the lists. Interestingly, despite the denial of the news about the death of the pilot in Voronezh, one of the State Duma deputies (who is also the vice speaker) proposed to award “Demon” with the Order of Courage.
