South of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, the offensive operation continues, with the successful advance of the Defense Forces in the Kleshchievka area. Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar spoke about the operational situation at the front.
— It’s hot now in Kleshchievka and Kurdyumovka. In the Klischeevka area, as a result of offensive (assault) operations, our Defense Forces were successful. The enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through our defenses in the Yagodnoye and Bogdanovka areas of the Donetsk region, — she clarified.
According to her, the invaders also tried to advance in the Marinka area, but our soldiers are holding their positions and carrying out assault operations.

As for the South — in the Melitopol direction, the Defense Forces have partial success in the Verbovoy and Novoprokopovka areas of the Zaporozhye region.
Malyar noted that here the Ukrainian defenders are displacing the enemy from their positions and gaining a foothold on the achieved lines.
