Despite the fact that Ukrainian air force defenders destroyed all enemy targets, enemy UAV debris caused the destruction of two private homes in one of the region's populated areas.
The police reported that a husband and wife were injured in one of the areas. The victims were hospitalized.
It later turned out that they were Russian oppositionist Ilya Ponomareva and his wife.

Commenting on this attack, Ponomarev noted that today is probably his second birthday.
– Today seems to be my second birthday. The fifth attempt at attack was the most unconventional and most successful, which was difficult to defend against. But screw them! Details later, – wrote the Russian oppositionist.
According to Ponomarev, he woke up 2-3 minutes before this happened. He heard Shahed approaching, and then he flew in and exploded right under the window.
– The drone was not shot down. Here I say with 100% confidence that it was not shot down, the air defense did not work against it at all,” Ponomarev said.
And also added that the kamikaze drone was flying after the air raid warning. He claims that the UAV flew to the point where it was planned, since three drones had already arrived at it yesterday. However, all targets were shot down then.

According to Ponomarev, the Russian authorities have been trying to get hold of him for a long time. Consequently, a number of attempts were made on his life, but all of them were unsuccessful for the Russian Federation.
He recalled that the day before, during the attack on July 31, Russian downed drones also fell and exploded near his house, resulting in several windows being broken.
– However, tonight the attack was repeated. I woke up again shortly before the explosion – this infernal machine made a noise like a faulty moped. But this time it is much louder, from the same direction as yesterday, and – the main difference — no air defense hit it (later it turned out that the air raid alert had been canceled a few minutes earlier). This thing exploded very strongly, right in front of the threshold of the house, and a bunch of debris flew at me. The guards who came running quickly put out the fire, but there was a lot of blood, and we had to quickly go to the hospital,” Ponomarev wrote.
And also added that it was only five meters to death.
