Kamala Harris — US Presidential Candidate

Current US Vice President Kamala Harris has received the majority of votes from delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

Kamala Harris has officially become a candidate for president of the United States, completing an unprecedented process after former Democratic presidential nominee and current White House incumbent Joe Biden dropped out of the race less than two weeks ago.

More than 4,000 convention delegates had until Monday to cast their ballots, but no other candidate was able to challenge Harris, making her selection virtually certain.

Still, the official nomination of the first woman of color to lead a presidential ticket marks a major milestone for a country long torn apart by race and gender issues.

The previous tender for restoration of Okhmatdet, which received a lot of publicity in the media, has been cancelled. A new tender for restoration of the hospital will be held within 7-16 days. This was announced by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko during a press conference.

— Over the next week, we want to create a supervisory and audit council that will approve the criteria for participants who must apply, — noted Lyashko.

According to the minister, it is impossible to name the exact amount for the repairs yet. He explains this by the fact that the expenses will be carefully analyzed and checked.

Viktor Lyashko noted that the difference between major and urgent repairs will be taken into account when planning the work.

The funds collected for the Okhmatdet hospital charity fund will be transferred to the medical institution's treasury account.
