Dictator Vladimir Putin signed changes to the law on presidential elections. In particular, about their conduct during wartime. The Kremlin is preparing the situation so that the elections can be canceled altogether.

To cancel the elections, martial law may be introduced in Russia to leave Putin as the “eternal ruler.” This opinion was voiced by Russian opposition politician Gennady Gudkov to Channel 24 .

“Martial law is being introduced and the president will become the eternal ruler until martial law is lifted. Whether it will be lifted during Putin’s lifetime is a big question. Gloomy situations are being prepared for Russia. It is very easy to introduce martial law at any second and stop even the imitation of political processes “, he believes.

The new “ruler” in Russia

They say that it is very beneficial for Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev if the presidential elections are cancelled, because then Putin will be legally illegitimate. This way he will be able to promote his son Dmitry to the position of head of the Kremlin.

As Gennady Gudkov said, there is an opinion that Patrushev is very easily susceptible to external influence and is a weak person in the Kremlin. Therefore, he can be influenced by Rosneft President Igor Sechin, who can actually govern Russia.

According to Kremlin gossips, the real beneficiary, if, for example, Putin is removed, could be Igor Sechin, who will be the “regent”, leading Russia through Patrushev Jr., he said.

Although now Igor Sechin is mostly in the shadows, he has great influence, in particular, on Vladimir Putin and the situation inside Russia in general. In addition, the president of Rosneft has no global conflicts with Patrushev.

Putin signed the law on voting in wartime

  • On November 14, Vladimir Putin signed a law on the procedure for holding presidential elections in Russia. According to the law, “if martial law is introduced in part of the territory,” the Central Election Commission may postpone the voting.
  • It is noted that an official of a subject may, no earlier than 130 days and no later than 90 days before the vote, send a proposal to hold elections to the CEC. Then the Central Election Commission makes a decision within five days, accepting or rejecting the proposal. They may also shorten the election period.
  • If the problems for which the elections were postponed are resolved, the CEC may resume preparations for the vote. The specifics of the preparation and conduct of presidential elections can also be established.
  • In the event of a “risk to life,” the start and end times of voting, as well as its duration at polling stations outside Russia, may be changed.
