Prime Minister of Denmark Matte Frederiksen answered whether permission to use her country's F-16 fighters for strikes throughout Russia applies.

— You can't ask this question and expect a simple answer, because everything depends on the circumstances. This must comply with international law. But it is possible to achieve goals outside of Ukraine – yes, — she emphasized in a comment to Radio Liberty.
Frederiksen also agreed that Ukraine really needs more fighter jets, commenting on the calls of President Vladimir Zelensky.
— When we look at the number of fighters in Russia, it is very large. They are now used right in Ukraine. Therefore, the aircraft we can provide will not be enough, — she thinks.

In this regard, she expressed hope that more countries will join in the transfer of fighters and the training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16.
In her opinion, the fears of some partner countries about a possible escalation are unfounded, since Ukraine “is obligated to defend”, and Europe must help it defeat the Russians.
Denmark and the Netherlands have recently begun transferring F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
