Danilov urged Ukrainians to prepare for a protracted war with Russia

NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov said that there would be a big war with Russia. He also explained that the Ukrainians need to make a lot of efforts to win.

The official told the relevant information on Independence Day. That is, he explained that the questions of the counteroffensive are decided by our military.

Danilov said what the Ukrainians should prepare for

Aleksey Danilov assured that all the territory of Ukraine, including Crimea and Donbass, will be liberated from Russian invaders.

However, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council explained that war is a complex thing. Therefore, Ukrainians should be patient.

It will be very difficult, it just won't happen. And if someone believes that we have already passed some kind of Rubicon and will continue like clockwork, this will not happen, unfortunately. We will have a big war with this country and we will need to make a lot of efforts so that victory is ours, Danilov said.

The politician also said that we need to prepare for a protracted war, because it will not be easy. Moreover, Ukraine needs a victory that:

  • “will forever discourage Russia's desire to fight against the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • ruin out Russia's ability to repeat all these things;
  • break the back of that creature that sits on the territory of Russia, which constantly encroaches on foreign territories.”

“If we don't do this now, it will just be a postponed war,” Danilov explained.

Briefly about Alexei Danilov's latest statements

  • In early August, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov urged Ukrainians not to listen to “couch experts” about the dates for the start of the de-occupation of our lands. The official also called for patience regarding the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
  • The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council also explained that the hope that Putin would stop is self-deception. After all, the head of the Kremlin put everything on one card – the map of the war in Ukraine.
  • Danilov added that our troops are carrying out a powerful task of destroying the enemy. This cannot be done quickly, because Russia is a large colonial country. It won't be easy to defeat her.
