In recent months, there has been talk that Iran and North Korea have agreed with Russia to supply missiles. The National Security and Defense Council answered whether they are used by enemy troops in the war against Ukraine.
Currently, during shelling, Russia uses missiles and exclusively of its own production. Alexey Danilov spoke about this during a news telethon, Channel 24 reports.
Which missiles Russia fires at Ukraine
According to Danilov, the aggressor country mainly uses old missiles that it has had for a long time. However, some of the missiles are new, which the occupiers have been manufacturing for the past few years.
According to him, the Kremlin's appeal to Iran and the DPRK suggests that they do not have the ability to manufacture a sufficient number of missiles on their own in Russia.
Whether there will be that help or not, we still cannot say. At least, we have not yet seen Iranian missiles, although you know that you have been talking for 3-4 months that Iran should supply missiles to Russia, but so far this is only limited to “shaheeds,” Danilov said.
He noted that “certain events are taking place” in Iran and advised to observe what is happening.
If Russia uses a missile not of its own production, it will be reported immediately
Oleksiy Danilov stressed that if Ukraine detects a hit by an Iranian or Korean missile on its territory, it will immediately announce it to the whole world.
If, God forbid, there is a missile or of Iranian or Korean production on the territory of our country, we will definitely inform not only our society, we will inform the whole world about this,” the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized.
Iran and North Korea supply missiles to Russia
- < li>Recently, the US State Department stated that Russia received weapons from North Korea through third countries.
- NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also confirmed that North Korea is providing the Kremlin with its missiles. However, Russia and North Korea deny this.
- The talk that Russia is negotiating the supply of ballistic missiles with Iran has been going on since the beginning of autumn. However, everything indicates that this has not yet happened. Probably, Iran was afraid of the reaction of the West, and now it is necessary to conserve stocks, because regular “pops” have been coming to their warehouses lately.
