The current Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov served as head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration until 2014. He answered whether he was ready to return to this post after the victory of Ukraine.

So, when asked by a journalist if he wanted to return to the Lugansk region after our victory, for example, as the chairman of the Regional State Administration or the mayor of Lugansk, Danilov assured that he definitely did not want to take this position. He explained that “the age is such that he would not have counted on it.”
I would really like to return to Luhansk, but not to lead there, but to visit those friends who are already in the cemeteries. Give them respect. There are a lot of patriots killed by rashists. Many died even before that (the beginning of the war – Channel 24), he added.
