The Czech Republic wants to replace Russia in the council, we only that have been nominated. Support for human rights is a priority for the Czech government, the Czech Foreign Ministry said.
They also reminded that Moscow must be held responsible for aggression, human suffering and destruction in Ukraine.
Added, that is why Russia's membership in the UN Human Rights Council was suspended.
