Czech Republic approved a new package of military assistance to Ukraine

The Czech government agreed on a new batch of military aid to Ukraine worth over 8 million crowns (350 thousand dollars).

The Czech government on June 15 discussed further assistance to Ukraine, but because of secrecy, Prime Minister Petr Fiala did not disclose the details of the planned support. According to him, Czech aid to Ukraine is continuous.

Before the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova said that the Czech Republic would continue to help Ukraine. According to her, a decision was made to supply anti-chemical agents, and another batch of ammunition is being prepared. Later, she told Czech television that this military aid cost just over eight million crowns.

Also on June 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Czech Parliament. After the speech, Chernokhova stated that Fial had promised further assistance.

“I believe that this is our duty, because if we do not learn from our history, we can repeat it, Vladimir Zelensky said this very clearly. The war in Ukraine is moving into a phase of a frozen conflict. This is why Vladimir Putin wants us to accept,” she said.

How the Czech Republic is helping Ukraine
