At first, the curfew started at 23:00 and lasted until 05:00. Then its duration was shortened, as people did not have time to get home in time (a corresponding petition was registered on the Kyiv City Council website).

When is the curfew in Kyiv 2025
In 2024, the curfew in Kiev begins at 00:00 and lasts until 05:00 in the morning.
In the Kyiv region, it is also prohibited to be outside from 00:00 to 05:00.
We remind you that during the curfew it is prohibited to be on the street or in other public places. It is also not allowed to move around the city on foot or by transport without the appropriate permission.
You can only go outside to get to the nearest shelter in case of an air raid alarm.
If a person is on the street at a prohibited time, the police have the right to detain the person to establish the reason for the violation and check that he has documents.
Currently, in Ukraine, violation of the curfew is punishable by a fine of 170 to 510 UAH . Violators may also be subject to correctional labor or administrative arrest for 15 days.
Fines can be issued by police officers and representatives of the commandant patrol.
