Croatia has joined the countries that are expelling Russian diplomats amid Russia's war against Ukraine. Thus, the state is expelling 18 diplomats and 6 administrative staff of the Russian embassy.
Croatia asked 24 employees of the Russian embassy to leave them in connection with Russia's invasion of Ukraine and “brutal aggression”. This is stated in a statement by the Foreign Ministry after similar steps by other EU countries.

18 diplomats and 6 employees of the administrative staff of the embassy of the Russian Federation were called to leave the Republic of Croatia,” the message says.
The country's Foreign Ministry reported that the Russian side was informed about the reduction of the administrative and technical staff of the Russian embassy in Zagreb.
It is noted that Croatia called on Russia to immediately stop military activities in Ukraine and bring those responsible for war crimes to justice.
