The invaders continue to terrorize the local population of the left-bank Kherson region with forced passportization. In addition, the Russians banned the movement of cars with Ukrainian registration there.
This was stated in a commentary on Channel 24 by a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council and a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Khlan. According to him, the Russians fine those who have cars with Ukrainian license plates.
“Accordingly, this can only be done by those who nevertheless took a Russian passport. They are afraid that they will soon begin to confiscate them,” he said.
Khlan said that the invaders actually stopped letting such cars through because of the administrative border with the occupied Crimea and they are intimidating that they will confiscate all non-re-registered property.
History repeats itself
Gauleiter Vladimir Saldo, said the deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, announced the alleged preparation for the elections to the State Duma of Russia. The Russians hope to hold them in September.
They even convened their fake “election committees” there. They continue to create a “picture” that they seem to be there “for a long time,” said Sergei Khlan.
The serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that such “pictures” had already been seen both in Kherson and in the right-bank Kherson region, when the invaders held fake “referendums” and then fled.
“Now they are trying to do the same in the occupied left-bank part of the Kherson region. But I think that they themselves now understand that they don’t have long to stay there,” he said.
Khlan noted that some of the collaborators are gradually running away to the occupied Crimea.

Sergei Khlan stressed that Russian enlisted soldiers in the occupied cities are waiting for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch their counteroffensive.

According to the deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, the Russians can only flee to the occupied Crimea.
“They believe and think that it will still be dangerous for them in Crimea, but they expect that Crimea is their savior for now,” Khlan said.
