Max Nazarov called the court's decision “unfair”. He stated that he did not commit any crime and plans to appeal the verdict.
— Never, never in my life, neither morally nor in any other way, did I betray Ukraine, nor my principles, nor the Constitution. During the full-scale invasion, I never left the territory of Ukraine, I worked for the good of Ukraine, — said Nazarov Max in court.
He stated that journalists are not responsible for the words of their guests on air.
Maxim Nazarov in a commentary to Radio Liberty said that “in no way” relates to the former owner of NewsOne and Nash Evgeny Muraev. At the same time, the journalist refused to talk about him out of “respect for the past”.
Recall that on January 18, the SBU informed the former host of pro-Russian TV channels Max Nazarov of suspicion of justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine.
It is noted that after the start of the full-scale war, Nazarov created a channel on YouTube, where he continued to spread pro-Russian narratives.
The blogger invited “political experts” who support Russia to his broadcasts, and together with them tried to justify the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
