Beating of a 17-year-old Ukrainian in Poland
According to the Polish TV channel TVN24, this happened last week. The Krakow police have already announced the arrest of three teenagers involved in the beating of 17-year-old Artem.
The teenager’s mother said that Artem and his friends went to the Zakszowek reservoir in Krakow. They planned to swim there to better survive the heat.

The guy tried to protect him, so he pulled the attacker back. Another friend took the girls to safety at this time.
— When they used tear gas, I started to run away. A man with a machete ran after me. He hit me on the head and finger. He didn’t stop beating, but I broke free and jumped into the water. It happened so quickly that it's hard for me to even remember what the attackers looked like — shared by Artem.
The teenager was pulled out of the water by friends who called for help. Artem was taken to the hospital with wounds to his head and arm. The guy had to be operated on because he lost a lot of blood. Artem's mother shared that the thumb of his left hand could not be saved.
What is known about the attackers
The Polish police announced the arrest of three suspected teenagers aged 15, 16 and 17 years. The youngest of them has already been prosecuted for criminal offenses.
In the house of a suspected 17-year-old boy, police found and seized an object that could probably be used to strike a Ukrainian.
Three suspects are accused of being involved in a beating with a dangerous object. In Poland, such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of six months to eight years.
Now the 17-year-old guy has been chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention for three months. Other people may also be brought to justice for the beating of Ukrainian Artem, the Krakow police say.
