However, according to channel 24 intelligence sources, the first serious incident in Crimea led to a real panic among the entire local “power” elite. FSB officers, representatives of the “government” and some businessmen began to pack their bags and send their families to Russia.
Even relatives of those collaborators and occupiers who had already managed to return from the mainland after being evacuated at the beginning of hostilities began to flee from the peninsula.
Propaganda created a false sense of security
Adherents of the Russian world, who after February 24 realized that Ukraine had a real chance to de-occupy Crimea, managed to relax and believe that the war on the peninsula would somehow pass. But, of course, this could not happen, because the transformation of the Autonomous Republic into a large military base would sooner or later lead to a real “pop”. And this is not about the crossbow of the courtyard of the Navy headquarters in Sevastopol to cancel the shameful parade, but about the powerful demilitarization of airfields and warehouses.
Every resident of the Crimea or a tourist from Russia should understand that the property of Russian “vaneks” to smoke near warehouses with ammunition sooner or later will lead to similar consequences. Especially if Ukraine receives weapons with the required range.
Therefore, 3 months after the full-scale invasion, the Crimean elite began to massively return their families home. But this was only before the first explosion, because as soon as the understanding came that now the situation would change radically, the courage of the invaders quickly disappeared somewhere. The feeling of security on the territory of Crimea has been replaced by fear.
They could not admit defeat
The consequences of powerful explosions at the airfield where the 43rd Fighter Regiment of the Aerospace Forces was based are unknown. However, Russian propagandists first responded to them with calls to the Kremlin to revise the red lines, and then they brought manuals to them. And instead of at least for the first time writing the truth about the destruction of the airfield, well-known figures began to disperse information about “powerful air defense”, “lack of arrivals” and “safety for tourists”.
Of course, the Russian media will never recognize that the VKS base was destroyed, but why the evacuation of local residents began en masse after the usual detonation of ammunition is a rhetorical question.
The occupiers will get worse
So every Russian soldier who is in warehouses or military units in the Crimea, every collaborator who betrayed Ukraine, must understand that “claps” on the peninsula will occur more and more often. After all, outdated and dangerous missiles and shells are brought to them, and most soldiers have never heard of safety precautions. Yes, and sooner or later Ukraine will get the opportunity to get military facilities deep in the rear of the invaders. And then there will be no more salvation.
