Explosions in Crimea: what is known
On August 9, powerful explosions rocked a Russian military airfield near Novofedorivka in Crimea. A huge fire broke out at the scene, and local residents spoke of loud sounds of detonation of ammunition. The occupying authorities of Crimea came up with various absurd reasons for the explosions and finally settled on “violation of fire safety requirements.”
Interestingly, the Russians did not blame the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the attack. Experts at the American Institute for the Study of War suggested that the enemy simply does not want to admit that his air defense is not perfect. Ukraine also did not officially confirm that it was our defenders who attacked the enemy base. At the same time, in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for August 9, they reported the destruction of 9 Russian aircraft.
