Belarusian partisans recently attacked a Russian A-50 aircraft with drones, which was coordinating missile attacks on Ukraine. After reports of explosions at the airfield in Machulishchi, where the aircraft was based, the aircraft disappeared.
The journalists tried to find out where the reconnaissance aircraft had gone. The monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun” writes that on March 2, a Russian A-50 aircraft with tail number “43” flew to a repair plant in Russia.
Where is the plane now?
The telegram channel of Lukashenka's press service even stated that the A-50 was escorted by “aircraft number 1”. However, according to the telegram channel “Belarusian Gayun”, the damaged plane left the airspace of Belarus and, “according to preliminary information”, went to Taganrog for repairs. There was no exact proof of these data.
What is known about the attack on the Russian plane
On the morning of February 26, in the vicinity of the military airfield of the 50th mixed base of the Belarusian Air Force in Machulishchi, local residents heard several explosions. According to BYPOL, they were the result of a drone attack by Belarusian partisans on a Russian military aircraft for early warning and control (AWACS) A-50.
According to the head of the association of former security forces Oleksandr Azarov, the plane, which participated in the adjustment of Russian missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine, was damaged and “will no longer be able to fly.”
After that, there were reports that border control was tightened at the border, and a native of Crimea, who is called involved in this incident, was put on the wanted list. In addition, Belarus began to check the owners of drones.
Subsequently, the Belarusian partisans showed the full video from the drones that made their way into the Russian A-50 aircraft in Machulishchi.
