The Parliament of Ukraine has adopted a law that regulates admission to higher education institutions (HEI) in 2024. Now, in particular, from 2024, admission of applicants for evening and correspondence courses will not be carried out.
People's Deputy from the Golos party Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, a total of 285 people’s deputies voted for bill No. 10092. This draft law regulates some laws of Ukraine regarding the state final certification and the 2024 entrance campaign.

The text of the bill provides that during 2022, 2023 and 2024, admission to higher education is carried out in a special manner determined by the central executive body in the field of education and science.
Thus, the competition in the Higher Educational Institution will be carried out based on the results of the External Independent Examination in 2021 and/or entrance examinations in 2022-2024, conducted using the organizational and technological processes of external independent assessment and a creative competition (physical ability competition) in cases provided for by law.
According to the bill, entrance tests will be established for participation in competitive selection for study at universities. They will include the Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine and an elective subject (physics, chemistry, biology, foreign language, geography, Ukrainian literature).
Also, from 2024, there will be no enrollment of applicants for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in higher education through evening and part-time forms of education. This also applies to obtaining a junior bachelor's degree.
In addition, the bill exempts education applicants who complete each level of general secondary education from the state final certification (FCA).
