Another 10 customs officers were brought to justice/Channel 24 Collage
SBI employees reported suspicions to 10 more employees of the Transcarpathian customs. Officials of the Mukachevo customs post contributed to the illegal activities of companies controlled by Viktor Medvedchuk.
It is noted that as a result of illegal actions, the state budget of Ukraine lost more than 24 billion hryvnia. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation on April 26.
10 customs officers were held accountable
During 2017-2018, a company from the sphere of influence of the godfather Putin Viktor Medvedchuk imported petroleum products – light and medium distillates by rail and road. At the same time, the documents noted that the tanks were filled with gas condensate, which is not included in the list of excisable goods.
During customs clearance, officials decided to “not notice” the substitution and cleared oil products, as gas condensate. This allowed an enterprise close to Medvedchuk to evade payment of excise tax and VAT for millions of hryvnias.
By the way, the State Bureau of Investigation suspects the employees of the customs post of improper performance of their duties due to their unscrupulous attitude towards him. This caused great damage to state interests and is qualified by part 2 of article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
