They continue to tempt fate: divers catching shellfish were detained in the mined sea

Men in the Odessa region dived for shellfish, although the sea is mined/Collage of Channel 24

The Black Sea is literally littered with enemy mines. So the coast and the water space are patrolled daily. Extreme divers who risked their lives were found in the Odessa region.

This was told in the operational command of the South. It is known that two men dived into the sea to catch shellfish.

The men were detained and handed over to the SBU

The OK “South” noted that what residents of the Odessa region continue to tempt fate. During the day, units of the municipal guard, as well as the border service, found two men. They dived in the Black Sea, which could threaten their lives.

It is noted that men were engaged in shellfish hunting, despite all possible warnings, prohibition, and danger. So violators were not only detained. They were also handed over to the SBU to clarify all the circumstances.

We remind you that the coast and waters of the Black Sea are now dangerous. So in no case do not risk your own life. Do not walk along the beach and in any case do not go into the water. For one man, such frivolity has already taken his life.

A man exploded on a mine on the beach near Odessa

It happened in the village of Gribovka. According to the speaker of the Odesa OVA Sergey Bratchuk, the man and his family went to the beach to relax. He went to the water to check its depth. There, a villager stumbled upon a Russian mine, carried to the shore. Unfortunately, the man died on the spot.

Soon, Alla Marchenko, spokeswoman for the Odessa Patrol Police, shared the details of the tragedy. She noticed that the mine that blew up the man in Gribovka was Russian. The law enforcement officer noted that it was one of the shells that the ships of the aggressor country placed in the Black Sea. Several such mines have already washed up on the coast in a week.

Sergey Bratchuk then stressed that he did not understand why people neglect not only their lives, but also their relatives. He stressed that both the sea and the coast now pose a threat. Therefore, despite all desires, one should abandon such a format of recreation so as not to take risks.

We must add right away that Ukrainians are shocked by such news. But this does not bring the desired result. Residents of the Odessa region still continue to visit the beaches and relax as if a full-scale war is not going on in Ukraine, and danger cannot come from the sea.
