An expert of the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council Alexander Kraev told Channel 24 about this. He is convinced that the US will definitely defend Taiwan.
“We see that the United States looks at these conflicts more broadly. For them, the war of Russia against Ukraine has become part of the global confrontation between democracy and autocracy, and if translated, the confrontation between Washington and Beijing. That is, the war of Russia against Ukraine is definitely part of the continuation of the Cold War” , – the expert noted.
According to Kraev, the United States will consider this situation, relatively speaking, as two fronts. Therefore, Biden's trip to Asian allies, negotiations with representatives of Japan, speech in South Korea is the opening of a second front, but a diplomatic one.

As Kraev noted, China acts differently than Russia, which thoughtlessly invades foreign territories and wants to take everything by force. This is not his profile, especially after China saw that the West would react to aggression.

Kraev noted that in this context, they are talking about Turkey and Hungary. Now, however, China is also beginning to act. Therefore, the main task of the West is to maintain the neutrality of the Chinese side in this war.
