At the end of 2022, Benjamin Netanyahu became the new Prime Minister of Israel. It is still difficult to say how Jerusalem will continue to build its policy on the war in Ukraine.
About thisChannel 24Israeli journalist Sergei Auslender said. According to him, it is difficult to predict Benjamin Netanyahu's next steps regarding assistance to Ukraine.
At the same time, according to Auslander, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen plans to visit Ukraine in the near future.
“This planned visit shows that contacts between Jerusalem and Kyiv are strengthening,” the journalist said.

According to Auslander, in addition, both the United States and Europe are explicitly asking the Israeli authorities to provide more active assistance to Ukraine in the war against Russia. The journalist noted that Jerusalem still supports Kyiv.
It's just that this help is not public. We are not Belgium or even Germany. We are now simultaneously conducting three military campaigns. We have a wall of fire burning along the perimeter of the country,” Auslander said.
He added that this is why it is important for Israel in matters of assistance to Ukraine not to go against the interests of its own national security.

Israel can increase aid to Ukraine
The Israeli journalist stressed that Jerusalem is well aware of who is fighting with whom and what is happening. It also understands the consolidation of the West in relation to Russia's war against Ukraine.
It is clear that Israel is helping. And, perhaps, this assistance will be increased. We will find out about this after a while, – said Auslander.
He added that while helping Ukraine, Jerusalem insists on secrecy.
“From Israel's point of view, help is more important than words,” the journalist said.
