A powerful rainstorm and hurricane are raging in St. Petersburg. Wind gusts of up to 31 meters per second are recorded there, crushing trees, destroying bus stops – even trash cans are flying around the city. In addition, St. Petersburg was engulfed by an impenetrable sandstorm.

Also, due to bad weather, Pulkovo Airport temporarily did not accept planes, flights were diverted to alternate airfields.
