In New York, a man set himself on fire near the courthouse where Trump's case is being considered/Collage 24 Channel On Friday, April 19, an unknown man set himself on fire outside a New York courthouse. There, jury selection was taking place for the trial of former US President Donald Trump. A man was reported to have walked into the park across the street from the courthouse. According to witnesses, he first scattered leaflets, and then pulled something out of his backpack, poured liquid over his head and set it on fire. As CBS News reports, after the man's fire at the courthouse was extinguished, he was taken to a nearby hospital. Police extinguished the flames using fire extinguishers. The New York Police Department identified the man as 37-year-old Max Azzarello of Florida. According to them, he arrived in New York just a few days ago. It is known that the man is now in a “very critical” condition, but he is alive. According to law enforcement, Azzarello first entered the park, opened a bag of books, and then scattered papers and brochures. After that, he poured an unknown substance on his head and set himself on fire. Eyewitnesses claim that the man burned for several minutes. Four officers who arrived at the scene of the incident received minor injuries. We know his car was in St. Augustine, Florida on April 13th. So, sometime between 13 and today he arrived. We talked to family members – they didn't even know he was in New York, police say. Law enforcement also said at the briefing that the leaflets he scattered before setting himself on fire contained information that has been identified as a “conspiracy theory”.
