The Biden administration has allegedly sent a classified report to Congress that explains its strategy for a war between Russia and Ukraine, three anonymous sources told the publication.

The document in question was required to be prepared as part of a controversial bill to provide $60 billion in aid to Ukraine. The report with the strategy was originally planned to be submitted by June.

What could be the consequences of delaying the report

An aide to one of the congressmen said that the report was received on Monday, but has not yet been reviewed. Two other sources also confirmed receipt of the document.

The significant delay in submitting the report after the deadline has led some Republicans to express their disappointment and say it could block further initiatives to fund support for Ukraine.

Senator Jim Risch, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, commented on the report in August, noting that he supports aid to Ukraine, but not “blind aid.”

Since the early days of Putin's war on Ukraine, we have been asking the Biden-Harris administration to present a strategy for how the U.S. and allies can help Ukraine win. When they did not respond to the request, we wrote into the law that such a strategy should be provided to Congress. The deadline passed and there was no response, Risch said.

He added that Biden and Vice President Harris should provide the strategy for the war in Ukraine to the American people. At the same time, the lack of response from the White House may mean that the document does not exist, or they are afraid to show it.
