A major power outage occurred in Russia. The entire Primorsky Krai was left without power.

At first, the regional Ministry of Energy reported on a training exercise, and then admitted that an emergency had occurred.

What happened in Primorye

It is already evening in Primorye. For example, in Vladivostok it is around 20:00. This is just the time when Russians return home from work.

Local residents complained online about the sudden loss of electricity.

Electric trains have stopped, traffic lights are not working, there is no connection. Many residents of Primorsky Krai are stuck in elevators. A significant number of Russians had their household appliances burn out – toasters, kettles, washing machines and refrigerators.

It is noted that the mass power outage occurred after the regional Ministry of Energy reported on a scheduled training exercise to work out an emergency situation related to the emergency shutdown of a high-voltage power line. Officials were training the work of the operational headquarters to establish interaction to quickly restore power supply to consumers, and just a few hours later a real accident occurred in the region.

Telegram channels report that the failure occurred on the Primorskaya GRES – Khekhtsir-2 line.

As of now, the authorities have announced that the light has gradually begun to return to the cities of Primorsky Krai.
