President of Moldova Maia Sandu said that nothing threatens the country now. At the same time, they are completely dependent on Russian gas.

Political scientist Oleg Sahakyan suggested that there could be tacit agreements between Moldova and Russia. He told Channel 24 about this.

He is sure that communications with Putin continue and agreements are being reached. How else to explain that Moldova does not seek help from Ukraine to resolve the issue of the unrecognized Transnistria.

As the specialist noted, it is clear that the Russian group reigns there, which is not combat-ready enough to pose a threat. At the same time, it fetters our troops and can partially pose a threat.

“However, for Russia, it has turned from a point of strength into a weakness. This is their Achilles' heel, so they needed to secure Pridnestrovie from the Ukrainian operation to liberate together with Moldova,” the political scientist believes.

Therefore, I am sure that really hidden communications, not public ones, took place. And I think that Sandu's statements were also part of these agreements, Sahakyan is convinced.

In addition, as he added, Russia tried to destabilize the situation under the pretext of May 9th. All this together should make Maia Sandu more accommodating, so that it would be easier to negotiate with her.

Hungary could know about Putin's plans: what is clear

  • On May 2, Alexei Danilov said, that Hungary, openly declaring cooperation with the Kremlin, knew in advance about Putin's plans to start a full-scale war in Ukraine. He said that the country intended to take part of the territories for itself.
  • The Hungarian embassy in Ukraine noted that Budapest was outraged and urged Danilov to withdraw his “false” accusations.
  • Recall that after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban publicly refused to supply weapons to Kyiv, banned the transit of weapons through the territory of his country and did not support the initiative of an embargo on Russian oil and gas.
