This was told to Channel 24 by MP, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance Galina Vasilchenko. She explained what exactly Europe will get when Ukraine becomes a member of the EU.
“This (Ukraine's entry – Channel 24) will first of all give a clear political signal that Russia will no longer be able to persuade Ukraine to any political alliances,” Galina Vasylchenko said.
It is better for the EU to have an independent Ukraine as a full member of the European Union than a vassal of Russia on the eastern borders,” added the MP.
In addition, this is a common economic benefit for both Ukraine and the EU. And of course, the issue of defense capability, because everyone saw how powerful the Ukrainian army and the defense capability of Ukraine are. According to Vasylchenko, Ukraine will also toughen the defense capability of the European Union.
