Today, Russian invaders have more military equipment and manpower, and, accordingly, offensive potential. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will “grind” it in the active defense mode and proceed to the counteroffensive.

Where and when the Armed Forces of Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive
Probably, it will be in a few weeks. That is, until the end of February, the Russian military will increase the degree of offensive operations, and in March they will begin to “deflate”. Therefore, when the occupiers have a certain lack of weapons, our soldiers will begin counteroffensive actions.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin offensive operations sometime in March. This will not be the Donetsk direction, therefore we will not attack the Donetsk ridge. It will probably be the Lugansk to Zaporozhye direction, – the military expert suggested.
In his opinion, Ukrainian fighters can take counter-offensive actions as follows:
- launch a counteroffensive in the Luhansk direction;< /li>
- to carry out counter-offensive actions in the Zaporozhye direction;
- to simultaneously launch a counter-offensive in both directions.

The Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that it would be right for our fighters to start a counteroffensive when the enemy is exhausted. So, we can expect relevant news as early as March-April 2023.

- To implement the plan of the General Staff for a counteroffensive, Ukraine must have the appropriate forces and means. Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov noted that preparations for it require a certain amount of time to coordinate units and train tank crews. Consequently, the counteroffensive can begin within the next two months.
- The head of the Ministry of Defense also said that before the start of the counteroffensive, certain preparations are needed, including: training tank crews, coherence of units and debugging the system for quickly recovering equipment.
- At the same time, the US and coalition commander in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and former CIA director David Petraeus said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to push back Russian troops even further this summer. It all depends on the supply of weapons and strategy.
- Military-political observer Alexander Kovalenko noted that he sees the prospect of a counteroffensive by our military in 2023 precisely in the liberation of the territories that were occupied in 2022, as well as in reaching the administrative border Crimea and Donbass, occupied in 2014.
- A full-fledged scenario for the liberation of these territories, according to Kovalenko, will begin in 2024.
