This year, two key events took place at the front that were of great importance for the development of the situation on the battlefield. And already at the beginning of the next one, we can expect new actions on the front line.
As for this year, the exit of the Russian occupiers from the right bank of the Kherson region to the left should be attributed to important events. This opinion on Channel 24was expressed by Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert and flight instructor Roman Svitan.

The military expert noted that this is an important indicator that in the next 10 years the Russians are not planning any military operations on the right bank of the Dnieper. We are talking about the direction towards Odessa and Moldova.
This side is no longer considered by them (the Russians – Channel 24) from a military point of view, – Svitan noted.
The second important and very powerful event is the work in the Izyum direction. In particular, all the measures taken to de-occupy the Izyum Cauldron. And then there is access to the border with Russia along almost the entire length of the Kharkiv region.
What to expect from 2023
“What can be expected at the beginning of next year isthe exit of our troops to the coast of the Sea of Azov”, suggested the colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In his opinion, this could be a breakthrough by the Ukrainian defenders of the Zaporozhye Front and an exit to any point of the Sea of Azov between Mariupol and Melitopol. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to cut off the Crimean-Kherson grouping of Russian troops and promptly surround the enemy.

In addition, you can also predictmovement of our troops from Svatovo to Lugansk and Russian Taganrog and subsequent access to the coast of the Sea of Azov in the area of the Taganrog Bay.
Exit and cut off the entire Russian grouping from communication with Russia and the transfer of the Donetsk group to the operational encirclement mode,” the military expert noted.
In his opinion, these are the actions that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will perform in the next few months.
