A powerful explosion thundered in Nizhny Tagil on the morning of August 1. It was so powerful that it destroyed two entrances of a multi-story building.

Recall that at least 20 apartments were buried under the rubble. In the evening, Russian media reported that there were casualties and injured at the scene of the incident, reports 24 Channel.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 12 people were saved after the explosion. Among them are 6 children. Rescuers believe that up to 16 people may be under the rubble.

Seven injured people were hospitalized. Later, rescuers pulled out the body of the dead woman.

Already at 19:16, information appeared that the body of another woman was pulled out from under the rubble, thus the number of victims increased to 2. Thirty minutes later, it became known that the body of a third victim was pulled out from under the rubble.

There are still people under the rubble.

Note that, according to the mayor, there was a “gas explosion” in the entrance. At the same time, locals say that before the explosion, two unknown people hit the gas pipe and ran away.
