The situation in Mariupol continues to be extremely complicated. There may still be civilians in the bomb shelters of Azovstal blocked by rubble.
Maxim Zhorin, ex-commander of the regiment of defenders of Mariupol, said this in an exclusive interview with Channel 24.
According to Zhorin, the world does not fully realize that genocide is literally taking place in Mariupol – the Russians have already killed thousands of Ukrainians and are now trying to destroy those they surrounded right before the eyes of the whole world. The ex-commander of the Mariupol Defenders Regiment said that there was information that Azovstal had civilians remain.
The fact is that there are several collapsed bomb shelters that, due to constant shelling, cannot be unlocked and check how many living people are left there and how many there were in total. Therefore, now we cannot say exactly how many people are left on the territory of the Azovstal plant,” Zhorin emphasized.
The military man added that instead of reacting and doing real things, the world today is again very feeble observes and reacts, and does not seem to understand that every hour, while they are thinking, watching, people are dying there. This, according to Zhorin, should be on their conscience.
By the way, the ex-commander of the regiment of defenders of Mariupol noted that he believes in the ability to completely evacuate doctors, wounded and military from Azovstal sees no point otherwise.
