Russia kills civilians/Channel 24 collage
The Russian military continues to kill Ukrainian civilians. In particular, on May 23, as a result of enemy shelling, 3 residents of Donbass were killed.
This was announced by Pavel Kirilenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration.
Total since the beginning of the war Russians killed 415 civilians in the Donetsk region. Another 1,146 people were injured (this does not include the victims of Mariupol and Volnovakha).
On May 23 alone, 3 more civilians of Donbass were killed by the invaders:
- in Zara,
- Soledari;
- Adamovtsy.
Six more people were injured today. While it is still impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Russia is killing civilians! For all their crimes, the Russians will be punished! Kirilenko assured.
Situation in Donbass: latest news
- During the day on May 22, Russian infidels fired at 49 settlements in the East. As a result, 9 people were killed and another 10 people were injured. During this time, rescuers evacuated 1,092 people from the areas of combat operations in the Donbass.
- The Russian military, while trying to cut off the Luhansk region from the Lysichansk-Bakhmut highway, damaged a large-diameter gas pipeline. Therefore, the gas supply to the Donetsk region is still in doubt.
- Avdiivka, Donetsk region, also suffered one of the worst shellings since 2014. The fire was visible throughout the city.
- The Russian military introduced a strict access regime in the temporarily occupied Mariupol. The occupiers set up so-called “passes for movement”.
- On May 22, Russian infidels made one attack on the positions of the Ukrainian military. However, the Ukrainian defenders recaptured it and inflicted significant losses on the invaders.
- The curfew time was changed in the Luhansk region. From May 23, it operates from 21:00 to 5:00.
- At the same time, Ukrainian defenders destroyed the Russian self-propelled gun “Tyulpan” for the first time in modern history. It was possible to burn the military equipment of the invaders in the area of Rubizhne.
