China, despite assurances that it is not on the side of Russia in the war against Ukraine, actually proves otherwise. This is evidenced by the fact that propaganda narratives of the aggressor country are being disseminated in the country.
This was stated by US State Department Speaker Ned Price. He stressed that official Beijing does not maintain the neutrality it promised, Channel 24 reports.

China has made its choice in favor of Russia

Ned Price noted that for more than three months of full-scale war, China is choosing the side of Russia. And this is for all the atrocities, murders and violence committed by the Russian invaders. Moreover, official Beijing has not changed its mind even after the risk of a global food disaster.
The representative of the State Department stressed that Russian propaganda narratives are being broadcast in China. And this, in his opinion, is an alarm bell. After all, a huge country is spreading information to the masses that has nothing to do with the truth.
Moreover, Russia and China have one more thing in common at this moment. Both states do not adhere to their obligations imposed on them by membership in the UN Security Council.
China does not react to Russia's atrocities
Price emphasized that it was denying the atrocities committed by the Russian military on the territory of Ukraine that is yet another evidence of which side China is on. Moreover, the choice was made consciously in the country, because information about the horrors that the “Russian world” brings with it is in the public domain. Therefore, official Beijing either does not want to see it, or pretends not to see it.

And it shows that China does not adhere to a neutral position in Russia's war against Ukraine. And the corresponding messages regularly heard from Beijing are “empty statements”.
Xi Jinping promised to support Russia
Let's take a closer look at the telephone conversation between the leaders of China and Russia. In it, Xi Jinping promised Vladimir Putin that Beijing would support Moscow in matters of sovereignty and security.
At the same time, he added that the settlement of the “crisis” in Ukraine should be “appropriately” work all sides . The President of China stressed that the country is ready to help regulate this situation.
Such statements indicate that China does not consider Russia to be guilty of the war against Ukraine. Otherwise, the rhetoric would be different. But it should be understood that it would be simply impossible to hear something from Beijing otherwise, because Russia and China have long and closely established economic ties.
