The publication recalled that current US President Joe Biden has repeatedly said that the risk of nuclear escalation was the reason that Ukraine did not receive certain types of weapons.

China could be a deterrent
The Secretary of State also noted that China, despite its general support for Russia, likely played a deterrent role. The Secretary of State suggested that Beijing could have warned Moscow against using its nuclear arsenal.
Blinken also said that the Biden administration did not delay in transferring weapons to Ukraine, but took into account factors such as the Ukrainian side's ability to operate and maintain these systems.
Recall that earlier, sources in American intelligence said that the US decision to allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory did not increase the risk of a nuclear attack.
