Chinese foreign Ministry responded to the threat to the United States to prohibit TikTok and warned the American authorities about the consequences of this decision. The official representative of the Chinese Ministry van Verbena quoted by RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, if the US would follow such “erroneous logic”, then the same measures can be taken against any American company under the pretext of protecting national security. “You should not open Pandora’s box, otherwise [Washington] will reap bitter fruit,” advised the diplomat.
Wenbin urged the United States to heed the international community not to politicize economic issues. He asked the American authorities to ensure an open and free investment and business environment for companies.
3 Aug Microsoft confirmed the desire to buy TikTok Chinese ByteDance. The transaction will take place when a comprehensive revision of security of user data. In case of success of the transaction data from the American users of the social network will be stored on US territory.
According to unofficial reports, the President of the United States Donald trump is going to force ByteDance to refuse from the share in TikTok that China could not control the social network in this country. The application can buy Microsoft: then the American users of the social network will be stored on US territory. If China pull out of the deal, trump intends to ban social network.
App TikTok appeared in 2017, its developed by a Chinese company ByteDance. Basically a social network used by teenagers and younger children.
